MA ePedagogy Design – Visual Knowledge Building is an international MA-program (120 ECTS) at the University of Art and Design Helsinki. Partner institution in this Master of Arts program is the University of Hamburg.
This unique interdisciplinary MA program originated from a European Commission supported curriculum development project 2003-2005 (2945-IC-1-2002-1-FI-Erasmus-Proguc-1). The curriculum development was amongst the University of Art and Design Helsinki, the University Hamburg and the University of Applied Science Inholland, Rotterdam.
In 2007 MA ePedagogy Design - Visual Knowledge Building was recognized as an “outstanding project for curriculum development” by the European Commission’s Directorate-General for Education and Culture in their publication Erasmus - Success stories: Europe creates opportunities. This publication commemorates the twentieth anniversary of the Erasmus program and features the most successful institutions, outstanding projects for curriculum development and thematic networks, and the mobility statistics for all participating institutions in the 2004 - 2005 academic year. In May 2007, the publication was launched at the inaugural conference of the European Union’s new Life Long Learning Programme in Berlin and a pdf version is available online for download (pdf 1Mb).
